Here’s everything we know so far about the newly announced Therme Dubai.

Dubai is about to get a game-changing new wellness destination, approved by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan and developed in partnership with Therme Group – a leading global wellness company – this massive project will combine leisure, healthcare, and entertainment, all under one futuristic roof.

Where is Dubai’s new Therme resort?

Therme Dubai will be located in Zabeel Park, one of Dubai’s more prominent green spaces. Equivalent in size to 45 football fields, it is known especially for having a popular tourist attraction – the Dubai Frame.

When will Therme Dubai open?

Slated to open in 2028, it promises to redefine urban wellness and mark a significant step in Dubai’s vision to become a global wellness tourism destination.

How big is Dubai’s Therme resort?

Spanning 500,000 square feet and soaring to a height of 100 metres, Therme Dubai is designed to accommodate up to 1.7 million visitors annually. The expansive wellness resort will feature three key zones: the Play Zone, a family-friendly environment with water slides and entertainment; the Relax Zone, featuring indoor and outdoor thermal pools and natural treatments; and the Restore Zone, a tranquil escape with saunas, steam rooms, and mineral baths.

Who is designing Therme Dubai?

Global architecture firm DS+R (Diller Scofidio + Renfro) is behind the design of Therme Dubai. The firm, celebrated for its work on cultural landmarks like The Shed in New York City, aims to create an immersive, nature-infused retreat.

What can visitors expect at Therme Dubai?

Set to be a one-of-a-kind wellness experience, it will feature natural therapeutic pools, expansive indoor and terrace pools, and a Michelin-star restaurant. Highlights include three 18-metre waterfalls, an exhilarating play area with 15 water slides, and immersive art installations. The resort will also host cultural exhibitions, fusing art with wellbeing. It will also house the world’s largest indoor botanical garden, with over 200 plant species, fostering urban biodiversity and promoting a greener city.
