Located a short stroll from Trafalgar Square, the hotel’s soaring lobby, topped with a breathtaking Baccarat chandelier by Parisian designer Chafik Gasmi, packs a sophisticated punch. Combining traditional grandeur with contemporary rooms and state-of-the-art facilities, Corinthia London is truly a 21st-century grand hotel. The penthouse suites are located over two storeys and feature private lifts and terraces with unmatched views of London landmarks, including the Thames and Whitehall. The standard guest rooms are pretty special, too; averaging 45 square metres, they’re among the largest in their category in London. But more importantly, the smallest of details have been thought through, meaning everything from the heated marble bathrooms to the discreet technology is a dream to use.
Better still, 26 newly redesigned suites have just been unveiled. Their refreshed aesthetic blends modern elegance with British heritage, courtesy of design studio G.A Group. The light, bright Trafalgar Suites channel the city’s parkland through green velvet and burnished gold accents; Whitehall Suites are more enveloping, with rich hues (brass, oxblood and dark timber); Garden Suites have a botanical theme and views onto a landscaped courtyard.
